The Conversations tab is where you’ll spend most of your time. This is where you can see every text message your AI sends and receives.

How to Find Your Conversations

  1. Click Conversations in the left sidebar
  2. You’ll see a list of all your text threads on the left side
  3. Click on any conversation to read it on the right side
The most recent conversations appear at the top.

Reading an AI Conversation

When you open a conversation, you’ll see messages going back and forth:
  • Messages from your AI have a small robot icon or “AI” label
  • Messages from the lead appear on the other side
Each AI message shows information about why the AI said what it said. You can click on the AI label to see details.

What to Look For

  • Did the lead respond? If yes, the AI is doing its job
  • Is the conversation going well? Read the back-and-forth to see if the lead is engaged
  • Did the AI say something wrong? If so, use the thumbs down button (see the “Your AI Assistant” section)
  • Is the lead ready for you? Look for signs like: they want to schedule a call, they gave you a property address, or they asked about pricing

When to Step In (and When to Let AI Handle It)

This is one of the most important things to understand. Here’s a simple rule:

Let the AI Handle It When:

  • The lead just replied and the conversation is still in the early stages
  • The AI is asking qualification questions
  • The lead is asking basic questions the AI can answer
  • The lead hasn’t shown strong interest yet

Step In When:

  • A lead books a call with you — call them
  • A lead gives you a specific property address — look into it
  • The lead is asking detailed questions the AI can’t answer well
  • The lead is clearly hot and ready to do business
  • The AI said something incorrect and you need to fix it
  • A lead asks to speak to a real person

How to Take Over a Conversation

  1. Open the conversation
  2. Type your message in the text box at the bottom
  3. Hit Send
When you send a message yourself, the AI will pause for that conversation. It won’t jump back in and talk over you.

How to Pause or Resume the AI

If you want to make sure the AI doesn’t respond in a specific conversation:
  1. Open the conversation
  2. Click the three dots (⋯) menu at the top right
  3. Click Turn Off AI or Pause AI
  4. To turn it back on later, go back to the same menu and click Turn On AI
Tip: If you’re on a phone call with a lead, pause the AI first. You don’t want the AI texting them while you’re talking to them.

How to Reply to a Lead Yourself

  1. Open the conversation
  2. Click the text box at the bottom
  3. Type your message
  4. Click Send (or press Enter)
You can also:
  • Send a text (SMS)
  • Send an email (click the email icon)
  • Make a call (click the phone icon)

Filtering and Searching Conversations

When you have a lot of conversations, you need to find specific ones fast.

Search for a Person

  1. Use the search bar at the top of the conversations list
  2. Type the person’s name or phone number
  3. The list will filter to show matching conversations

Filter by Type

  1. Click the filter icon (looks like a funnel) at the top of the conversations list
  2. Choose how you want to filter:
    • Unread — Conversations you haven’t looked at yet
    • Starred — Conversations you marked as important
    • All — Everything

Sort Conversations

You can sort by:
  • Most recent message — Newest messages first
  • Oldest unread — Conversations waiting the longest for attention

Starring Important Conversations

If a conversation is important and you want to find it again easily:
  1. Open the conversation
  2. Click the star icon at the top
  3. The conversation will now appear when you filter by “Starred”
Use this for hot leads, leads you’re in the middle of negotiating with, or anyone you need to follow up with personally.

Using Conversations on Mobile

The LeadConnector mobile app shows your conversations too:
  1. Open the LeadConnector app
  2. Tap Conversations at the bottom
  3. See all your text threads
  4. Tap any conversation to read and reply
  5. You’ll get push notifications when a lead replies
Tip: Turn on notifications so you never miss a hot lead. The faster you respond when the AI hands someone off to you, the better your chances of closing the deal.
